DESCRIPTION: Table View Beach, Cape Town. I currently work as an engineer for a mobile phone company. I have only had this job for four months; they announced today that they are making retrenchments.   In 1994 I was in 4th grade at St Johns School in Johannesburg. I had been in school for three years and I had never really noticed that we were all white kids. On the first day of 4th grade I arrived to see there were three black kids in my class. It was a novel experience; I went home and told my mum. It is a cool memory and has burnt into my mind like a photograph. In ten years I will still be living here. Hopefully I will be in a more secure form of employment. I would like to say I will be an entrepreneur but I will probably be working for a company doing what my boss tells me to do. I want to get up and go for a surf, come home early and go for a walk and generally enjoy the place where I live.
